Was your publisher totally on board with having the word "Sissy" in the title or did you have to fight for it? I think it's a fabulous title and one that even if you don't know the first thing about the book, makes you want to read it (this actually goes for both books), but was curious if its negative associations gave them pause or if there were alternate titles considered.

Also, related: What do you hope people think of when they hear the title?

Oooh, such interesting books. My question for the Alone with Eggplant contributors is:

1. Why do you think it's so hard to cook for one? Is the realization that you will dine alone or has society elevated cooking in such a way that we need that recognition from those we cook for?

2. Do you think people become more or less creative in the kitchen when they are just cooking for themselves? Why?
